Testimomonials from the families of our residents about Wray Common - Care Home in Surrey:

“My Aunt's stay at this home made a great difference to her peace of mind and general wellbeing. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. My Aunt was glad to have the feeling of having her own private room and bathroom, she was glad to have friends visit and I was glad to be able to have tea and cake with my aunt.
The staff have been good to me also.”
“My aunt has been in the home since August 2018. We can visit any time of the day. Her room is bright and she can look out at trees. She is bedridden. She was very poorly when she went in, but now she looks brighter. On her 100th Birthday, she was presented with flowers and a beautiful cake with cream and strawberries from the staff.
She is being excellently looked after”.
“From the first day my mum entered Wray Common she was treated with respect, kindness and love, they were her family when we weren't able to be with her. She was offered the chance to sit in the lounge but Mum likes her own room and television and they respected her wishes. She did enjoy the parties and everyone who ever passed her door always spoke to her. Sadly she passed away comfortable and with dignity. As a family, we can't thank Wray Common enough.”
“My father was treated with the greatest of respect at an extremely difficult time. The staff gave me and my family the utmost support. My father was treated with kindness and dignity at all times. The staff were amazing, friendly and kind. I could not ask for a better place for my father to spend the last few months of his life.”

"My mother's stay at Wray Common was a happy one. She is 96 and was recovering from a bleed on the brain having spent three weeks in hospital. During her eight week stay all the staff were polite, friendly and caring". -Sally Christopherson

"Kind and caring. Make time for queries, meetings etc. Amenable to individual requirements. There are lots of activities organised for the residents. I was allowed to take my dog in to visit my father, something he really enjoyed".Fay

"We are very grateful for all the care and support we received, and especially for the dignity and kindness with which Dennis was treated at the end of his life." Sharon Tunnah
"My father is very happy here. He has a lovely, large, tastefully decorated room with an en-suite. It is well equipped and always spotlessly clean and well heated. Matron is very approachable and supportive. All of the staff are wonderful and fully supportive of my father and the rest of the family. He is extremely well cared for and all his needs are met. It is reassuring to know that he is in such capable hands. He enjoys the afternoon activities in the lounge, the musical afternoons and room visits. All in all I can highly recommend this nursing home" Anne Clayton
"To all the staff at Wray Common Nursing Home, Thank you so much for the care and kindness you showed to our mother Edith Newman. She was very happy in her "new home" and loved you all" Vivien Carroll and Ray Newman

"Dear Melanie and all staff at Wray Common,

I wanted to write to let you know how grateful we are for the kindness and care you gave Dad throughout his stay with you at Wray Common. The decision to move him into a home was a difficult one, and it was an enormous relief for me to see that he was being so well looked after. Many thanks to you personally too, for your on-going advice and support during the final weeks of his life. I honestly couldn't have coped without you all" Di Stafford
"I am writing to express my thanks to all the staff who cared for my Mum during her stay with you. You were all caring, compassionate and professional, and helped comfort us in such a difficult situation. Thank you." Yvonne Richards
"My family and I wish to express our thanks for the care that was given to my Uncle during his stay with you over the last three years. He was as happy and content as he could be at 98 years of age and was always appreciative of the nursing care he received. I was very happy with the way he was looked after and wish to extend my gratitude to you all." Brian Potts

"To all at Wray Common Home,

I just wanted to thank you for the compassion and care you gave to Mum. She was very confused and scared but you all put her at her ease and we just wished we could have got her to you before we did. Thank you for the work you do" Christine Austen
